Disney Treasure: Days at Sea – October 2025

Saturday

The next morning we said farewell to the Contemporary Resort and boarded the Magical Express (is it still called the Magical Express?) to Port Canaveral. They showed the first Toy Story while we rode, and we parked right as the credits rolled.

We grabbed our luggage and went through security at the terminal, then got our MagicBands tied to our accounts and waited for our boarding group to be called. It only took about ten minutes before we were boarding the ship!

They announced “the Strange family” as we made our way into the Grand Hall. Jasmine and Aladdin waved from above. The Halloween tree sat unlit awaiting the festivities. We were here!

We decided to explore the ship one deck at a time. We ran into Mickey himself on Deck 5 and grabbed a quick photo with him and LS. We made it up to Deck 12 and found the HeroZone, where we introduced LS to air hockey. She was a big fan!

After many games (there was hardly anyone else in there yet), we decided to go down to the Oceaneer Club since it was Open House. LS was really looking forward to the rollercoaster simulator, and she got to build her first one while we were there.

Afterwards, the rooms were ready so we went to check ours out. We had booked a deluxe room with verandah. It had a sofa that changed into a bed for LS, and a very spacious balcony. Our luggage hadn’t arrived yet, so we relaxed a bit and LS watched some Mickey cartoons.

We headed up to the lido deck for the Sail Away party then LS wanted some more air hockey, so it was back to the HeroZone. It was more crowded by this time, so we played a couple games before passing our table over to the next group. Back to the room to check if our luggage had arrived; it hadn’t.

It was time for dinner, since we had the early seating. Our first dining room of the cruise was at Marvel. We found our table number and were a bit surprised to see that we would be sharing a table with another family. I vaguely remembered maybe reading that we may be seated with someone else, but I had forgotten. Luckily, they turned out to be super nice, and also had a 7 year old with them that was into a lot of the same stuff as LS. Both had planned to dress as Zoey from K-Pop Demon Hunters for Halloween, but in a hilarious twist, the mom and I were also planning to dress as Mira, and the dad and Mr. Strange both as Bobby!

After dinner, we headed over to the Walt Disney Theatre to see an amazing juggling act, which was even more so amazing because the ship was rocking SO. MUCH. You could see the curtains in the theatre swaying rapidly. LS was fading quickly though and dozed through parts, so we headed straight to bed afterwards.

Sunday

We slept in the next day, exhausted from our past two early mornings, and rushed to get to the breakfast buffet before it closed. We decided it seemed like a good morning for the pool and the Aquamouse, but as soon as we stepped onto the deck, rain and storms shut it down. We headed back in and chose to check out the Haunted Mansion Parlour instead, which was super cool. LS ordered a soda that sparkled and swirled inside.

We did a Star Wars craft and then took a nap until it was time for dinner.

We had dinner at Coco’s that evening, which was lovely in its theming and entertainment. Though I ordered an ice cream sundae for dessert, and the spoons here were too big to fit all the way down in the glass!

We did a bit of souvenir shopping, and LS chose an autograph book, as she had been disappointed at Chef Mickey’s to not have anything for the characters to sign. We then waited in line to meet Daisy and then Minnie, in their formal wear, since it was formal night.

Monday

LS had made plans with her dinner friend to meet up at the Oceaneer’s Club the next morning, so we got up, ate breakfast, and dropped her off. Then Mr. Strange and I headed up to The Rose lounge for a drink. It was so nice and quiet in there! Eventually, LS pinged us to come get her, so we did and then headed over to Skipper Society to learn how to draw BB-8.

Afterward, we returned to our room to rest a bit, then went and had lunch on the pool deck. The weather was nice, so LS and I changed into our swimsuits and enjoyed the pool and the Aquamouse while Mr. Strange rested some more.

Soon, it was time to get ready for dinner. It was Halloween night on the ship, so we put our Haunted Mansion costumes back on and went to dinner at 1923. We then had some photos taken (Haunted Mansion themed, of course) before heading up to the lido deck for trick or treating. We met back up with LS’s dinner friend and went around collecting candy with them, then enjoyed the Halloween party on the deck. LS wanted another autograph for her book so we joined the line inside to meet Mickey before heading off to bed.
